They sure had some crazy, mixed up plots in these Pre-Code classic movies. The wife's to be-lover, WP comes over at will to the wife & husband's house, wines & dines her as WP makes his intentions clear that he wants to have an affair with the wife.That scenario would not end well in today's society. I do like the way the wife handled her cheating hubby by ."spanking" him by going away for awhile. The only thing is, she picked her hubby over sexy as hell William Powell, but I guess she made the rigjt decision. I made that mistake once, choosing a very good looking, sexy as hell man over my 1st husband. Did.not end well. I guess this wife in the movie knew what the future held if she chose Playboy Powell.
